Dedicated to advancing the Learning and Development (L&D) profession, Donald has been at the helm of the Learning Technologies Conference in London since 2000. He is a recognized commentator and organizer in the fields of workplace learning and supporting technologies, a global speaker, and an author on L&D.
In 2014, he initiated the annual L&D Global Sentiment Survey, offering a unique global perspective on L&D trends from professionals in over 100 countries. Donald also chairs the Workforce Development board for VC firm Emerge Education and actively advises and invests in various EdTech start-ups. From 2010 to 2021, he served as chairman of the Learning and Performance Institute.
Educated at Oxford University, in 2016, Middlesex University awarded Donald an honorary doctorate in recognition of his contributions to the L&D profession. He is also the author of the book “Learning Technologies in the Workplace.
