Laura is an experienced international speaker, author, and facilitator with a passion for exploring, challenging, and sharing. Now a partner at Tulser (the former 70:20:10 Institute) her focus has always been on bringing a community together to investigate how learning innovation builds business impact. Laura has authored/ co-authored over 40 major research reports and, as a regular contributor to industry publications she has written over 300 articles. She has also received several prestigious awards, among which the Learning and Performance Institute’s Colin Corder Award for outstanding achievement and the Learning Technology Award for outstanding achievement.

Jo is a speaker, instructional designer, and classroom facilitator who specializes in virtual classrooms, webinars and live online learning technology. Jo’s passion is helping and supporting teams, professionals and organizations embrace the benefits of the virtual classroom. Jo’s background includes: further and higher education; the charity sector; small and large organizations, including CNN News. Through her company Lightbulb Moment, Jo specialized in training learning professionals about virtual classroom design and delivery. She has spoken on various topics at conferences such as Learning Technologies, Online Educa Berlin, and keynoted for Colleges Wales and E-learning Fusion.  

Mirjam  is currently Head of Global Learning Design & Learning Sciences at Novartis. She has around 15 years of industry experience, working at a wide variety of companies. In her current role, she is responsible for the global learning design strategy and plan, integrating a data-driven approach. Mirjam is a proud advocate for evidence-informed approaches to learning experience design and has a collaborative blog with Paul A. Kirschner. Together, they have recently published a book on evidence-informed learning experience design. She presents  her work regularly. She has completed an MSc in Learning Sciences, an MA in Psycholinguistics and a BA in Speech Therapy.  

   

 Sarah Makowski, Senior Manager Talent Management, Winkelmann Group GmbH + Co. KG

Sarah is an American living in Germany. For over twenty years, she has worked in international Human Resources, recruiting, identifying, and developing critical specialists and leaders. As the first learning and development manager at the Winkelmann Group, she designs and implements new learning strategies and talent programs for employees worldwide. Sarah Makowski is frequently engaged as a speaker at events designed for female entrepreneurs and leads workshops on the power of creativity. Currently, she is in the final stages of an interdisciplinary Ph.D. with the RWTH in Aachen, examining parallels between business women’s experience of the Glass Ceiling and Tokenism and the work of Jane Austen. 

As VP Talent, Wellbeing and Purpose, Montserrat is passionate about turning workplaces into engines for change with their people by elevating an organization’s talent, culture, and employee experience. In her current role, she heads a team that aims to build extraordinary places to work based in the Universidad Tecmilenio’s (UTM) Wellbeing & Happiness Ecosystem (part of the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, one of the largest, most reputable systems in the Americas). At Speexx Exchange she’ll be introducing specific tools that HR and talent managers can apply to their organizations to ensure a happier, more productive, and healthier workplace of the future – especially crucial at an uncertain time in modern history.

Bio Tim Burmeister , Learning Transformation Manager, GP Strategies

Tim has 18 years of experience in the Learning & Performance field and has worked for companies such as Accenture, Apple, Barclays, and MediaMarktSaturn. In his current role, he supports companies and L&D departments towards next-generation learning system transformation and he helps provide Modern Workplace Learning, starting with the strategy, the restructuring of learning teams, the implementation of Modern Learning Technology, and most importantly, anchoring L&D in the business. His expertise includes, but is not limited to L&D organization strategy and transformation consulting, LXP selection, configuration, integration, moderation and administration, and creating cohesive learning ecosystems.

Elizabeth is Chief Talent Navigator at Transforming Talent, a globally and virtually active consultancy specializing in people and culture solutions. She has 15+ years of experience in strategic and hands-on human resources, formerly heading up Talent & Learning for a charge of 7000 employees across 11 countries and through five major M&A integrations. She is a frequent collaborator and instigator in future-forward learning, talent, and employer branding arenas. At Speexx Exchange, she will be touching on how to “own” this new normal in the workplace, and the new skills, competencies, and capabilities it requires of HR and L&D. 

Andreas Kambach

Andreas has more than 25 years of experience in the training sector, with a focus on sales and concept development. He is Managing Director of a renowned training institute with offices in Hamburg and Leipzig, as well as subsidiaries abroad. In the past, he was also a member of the board of the Baltic Chamber of Foreign Trade. He most recently contributed his trainer expertise as the author of the book «Dynamisch Verhandeln – Entscheiden, was andere entscheiden, was entscheiden«. At Area9, he is the Managing Director of Area9 Lyceum GmbH, based in Leipzig.
 Andreas Kambach

Rolf is an active member of the Executive Committee at the International Council on Badges and Credentials to ensure a systemic view of badges and credentials for individuals, organizations, and societies. He also works for LinkedIn Learning, at the intersection of government, education, and organizational learning. Since completing his Engineering degree in Media Technology, Rolf has worked on numerous large digital transformation projects, including one with the L&D department of L’ORÉAL. He later designed and managed complex eLearning projects mainly for corporate customers. He also serves as an Executive Board Member to the Union of International Associations and as a member of the OEB Global Advisory Board. Andreas Kambach
